BLOG TOUR - Had To Be You by Juliet Chatham

Title: Had To Be You
Author: Juliet Chatham

Release Date: 08/05/14

Swoon Romance

After college, Rory Finn left behind the familiarity of her quiet, picturesque hometown to pursue a professional career in the city. With her sights firmly on the future, Rory pressed on in hopes of forgetting the past until a jarring bit of unwelcome news forces her to confront it.

Her first love, the one she'd tried so hard to forget, is about to marry someone else. That pang Rory feels isn't envy, it's not even regret. It's love. But Rory can't be that girl. She won't. But if she doesn't, she'll never know what could have been. She'll never have another chance to tell him how she feels.

As she embarks on an impulsive, desperate bid to win him back, her mission turns into an unexpected and emotional journey of rediscovery. HAD TO BE YOU explores a history of love from its tentative beginnings to what may just turn out to be its final bittersweet end, as Rory ignores her head and follows her heart.

This book would be a fabulous movie, I'm just saying. It tore me in two to read it. Oh. My. God. Get me the tissues! Good Lord I was so.... just aaah! It was beautiful, painstakingly honest and brutal... but so damn beautiful. I cried, I laughed and boy oh boy did I swoon! Seriously people this was just a really good book.

Every character has a voice besides the duo of POVs by Rory and Matt.
The entire cast was really truly great even my not so favorite character, Amanda who by the way did nothing to gain my contempt. I loved the family and friends and every interaction that they had with the MC. I life the plot alot! One of my favorite story types, true love gone wrong and one trying to stop the other from making a huge mistake... so good.

I feel like I am fumbling for the words to describe how much I loved this. It is just so dang good! I read it in one day and my Kindle never left my hand the entire time lol, you should have seen that!

It was gritty and an outpouring of emotional release, really and truly. I loved that we got glimpses of the past and everything in the present. It was very well put together. Story line, plot everything just awesome. The past was so, just get lost in that and the present was edge of your seat! All circling around a wedding and yeah i will say again this would be a great movie!! Just one-click it. I swear to you you will not regret it!

A truly enjoyable read! I will read this book again I guarantee that!
Recommend it?? Hell yes! This is a piece of beautiful fiction here people! Get your copy now!

A lifelong New Englander, I divide my time between the North Shore and Cape Cod. My favorite things are beaches, boats, books, bars, the Boston Red Sox and boys, but not necessarily in that order. Consequently, you’ll probably find that these are the things I write about, too.
